This beautiful embroidered banner was part of a 1940s-1950s era dresser scarf/tea towel that had some wear and discoration. While I wasn’t able to save the tea towel, I was able to preserve some of the embroidery!

I attached a portion of the tea towel that was in good condition to a 16” natural wooden dowel. The fabric portion of the banner measures approximately 16” long by 11” wide. I used secondhand twine and a natural wood bead to the dowel to hang the banner, and the hanging height can be adjusted by sliding the wooden bead. I also secured the embroidery backing and edges with Mod Podge to prevent any loose threads.

💗I’ve thoroughly washed and cleaned all vintage linens that I have listed. For future care, I recommend gentle spot cleaning with cold water, only if necessary.
